The architectural concept of this residential house is deeply rooted in the tradition of a linear barn village, where the rhythmic alignment of historic barns dictates the unique character of the landscape. The design replicates the archetypal form of the barn, transforming it into a contemporary yet historically sensitive living space. To achieve absolute conceptual purity, the house is envisioned as a fully timber volume. High-quality wood is used not only for the structural framework and facade cladding, but also for the roof itself. This holistic approach blurs the visual boundary between the vertical walls and the roof slope, creating a monolithic, sculptural silhouette. Over time, the timber will weather and silver naturally, responding to the elements and organically continuing the architectural narrative of the village.
